The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), as the Central Bank, invites talented and energetic candidates for the OG-3 position in the Agriculture Credit & Financial Inclusion Department (ACFID), based in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Prepare operations manuals and agreements for credit line facilities in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop data templates for periodic regulatory reporting and maintain a data repository for monitoring participating financial institutions (PFIs).
• Research market appetite, pricing, and spreads for timely disbursement to PFIs to achieve program objectives.
• Carry out due diligence on PFIs, evaluate proposals, and issue credit limits.
• Monitor and evaluate PFIs’ performance against result matrices agreed in multilaterally funded programs.
• Prepare working papers, agendas, minutes, and ancillary documents for relevant committees.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including donor and lender agencies and ministries.
• Design survey/data tools, administer surveys, and write reports on the utilization of credit lines under multilateral arrangements.
• Develop business requirement documents (BRD) for workflow automation and efficiency.
• Prepare work plans, cash plans, forecasts, utilization, and appropriation reports.
• Build strong professional rapport with stakeholders for reporting purposes.
• Coordinate with the project director’s office and government entities, and entertain ad-hoc queries.
• Prepare Interim Unaudited Financial Reports (IUFR); reconcile cashbooks, variances, and account statements for audit and financial oversight of external and internal stakeholders.
• Review and guide on environmental and social risk performance as per regulatory and multilateral requirements.
• Assist higher management in engagements with multilateral mission teams.
• Coordinate periodic financial oversight and audits of the multilateral programs.
• Use statistical packages for tracking fund utilization allocated to PFIs and map project activities in MS Project to track progress.
• Maintain a record of correspondence, and a database of project activities, and ensure availability for management when requested.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by seniors.

Eligibility Criteria for Deputy Director (OG-3) – World Bank Project Division

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (16 years of education) in economics, finance, or equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized or reputable foreign institution.
• Age: Maximum 35 years, as of the last date of the advertisement.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of total experience (post-qualification) with at least 3 years in a related field, preferably in multilaterally funded projects or reputed international organizations.

Compensation

• Competitive compensation package, as per State Bank rules.
