The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is seeking a proficient IT professional to lead the IT Program & Project Management Department as Director. This senior-level position based in Karachi will drive the automation and digitalization initiatives at SBP, implementing new IT systems, applications, and policies.

Director (OG-7): IT Program & Project Management Department

The Director of ITP&PMD will report to the Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Overseeing the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure national portals, industry platforms, and enterprise IT applications.
• Establishing technology governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Leading digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency.
• Establishing data governance practices to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical data assets.
• Staying abreast of technological trends, conducting research, and assessing emerging technologies.
• Leading and guiding professional teams in IT strategy, governance, programs, projects, and application development.
• Fostering collaboration between IT and other business units for effective communication and understanding of technology-related needs.
• Actively guiding the enterprise through transformation and optimization initiatives.
• Capacity building in various IT areas across the organization.
• Performing other tasks assigned by executive management.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in IT, Computer Systems or Sciences, or relevant engineering areas from an HEC-recognized domestic or foreign university.
• Age: Maximum 50 years, as of the date of the advertisement. Age relaxation may be allowed based on outstanding experience and achievements.
• Experience: At least 15 years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior management position with similar responsibilities.
