Player of the Match: Mark Adair We had been doing quite well as a team, but today we got a little lucky. Before every game and series, there are discussions about our confidence in our ability to succeed on the field and with the ball. Quite pleasing

Player of the Series: George Dockrell I’m really loving my new job, and it’s good to be able to contribute and score some runs. focusing on a few areas to improve with each game. genuinely enjoyed my job. We put in a lot of training and received the okay to start from ball one. It’s been a great Irish summer for us; after a short break, we’ll resume our training. Click here wath more matches Mohammad Nabi, an Afghan captain The weather is out of our control. They put us under pressure with early wickets, and perhaps if we had played the entire game, the outcome would have been different. The boys have been getting better in every area, but the past two games were rained out and we have no control over that. Rashid and Mujeeb bowled exceptionally well together throughout the series. The past few weeks have been great for us; this place is great. Andrew Balbirnie, captain of Ireland We knew there would be opportunities to play some excellent cricket because the season was so lengthy. Today’s bowlers for us were excellent. We have a fantastic bunch of players, and there is fierce competition among them. We were aware that a strong bat start was essential, and chasing is always beneficial.
